Google's advice on how to promote your blog may be highly effective for those looking to gain a wider audience. We have discussed and implemented many of these suggestions such as:

• thinking about audience 
• writing quality content 
• writing short posts and paragraphs 
• archiving 
• linking to other blogs
• creating a blogroll
• enabling following on your blog
• publishing regularly
• being an active commentator, and more.

However, Google's "article" is a good reminder and adds some more helpful technical suggestions, some of which are specific to Google and Blogger like adding your blog to blogger listings, etc. Any advice not covered here you'd like to share?
